Sonatina for Tuba and Piano
Sonatina for Tuba and Piano was written in 2023 for Dave Zerkel. My goal with this piece was to create a work that was accessible to most players while showcasing the beautiful soloistic capabilities of the instrument. From flowing melodic lines, to a sorrowful ode, and ending with a burst of energy, this work features three attacca movements with a runtime of about 9 minutes.
